Message to our patients:
With our technology, providers will be able to see patients with a virtual office visit amid the current COVID-19 outbreak that will limit unnecessary exposure for those who may be experiencing symptoms or are at high risk for exposure. This feature uses video conference sessions that can be scheduled by Athens Spine or you from the Follow My Health patient portal. If you have not set up your patient portal, now is the time to call our office to request an invite so that you can participate with this feature. This patient portal will be the only method we will use to refill prescriptions in the event of an office closure or a patient quarantine. Virtual office visits are considered the same as in-person visits and are covered by most insurance plans.

About Practice
The goal of the board-certified interventional pain management specialists, anesthesiologists, and support staff at Athens Spine Center is to provide high-quality pain management services to men and women living in Athens, Georgia, and throughout Clarke County.
At Athens Spine Center, each member of the team holds board-certification in pain management and anesthesiology. The team takes a broad approach to medicine and always tries to treat patients using conservative methods of care, such as injections instead of opioids.
Each provider sets aside plenty of time to get to know every individual patient. They listen carefully to their symptoms, concerns, and goals for treatment, and develop custom care plans that try and treat the source of pain rather than mask the symptoms.
At Athens Spine Center, the team diagnoses and treats a wide range of common pain problems, including chronic pain, back pain, degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, headaches, herniated discs, hip pain, joint pain, knee pain, migraines, neck pain, and sciatica. They also provide workerās compensation services.
To manage these conditions, the team uses state-of-the-art, minimally invasive treatments, including spinal cord stimulation, cortisone shots, epidural injections, joint injections, spinal injections, facet blocks, medial branch blocks, dorsal root ganglion therapy, and trigger point injections. The team also uses regenerative medicine techniques, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, bone marrow, and stem cell therapy. When necessary, the team also provides surgical treatments, including balloon kyphoplasty.
The offices at Athens Spine Center are warm, welcoming, and feature advanced diagnostic imaging technology, including discograms, ultrasound guidance, and radiofrequency testing.
